Our Strategies

Thematic Growth Equity and Growth & Income (Balanced)

The active management of a diversified portfolio of growth stocks potentially adds value to a long-term investment plan. This basic philosophy has driven the Growth Equity portfolio since its inception in 1994. The investment objective for the Growth & Income portfolio is capital appreciation and moderate current income. The strategy may seek income through equity or debt investments depending on capital market dynamics. Asset allocation decisions are based on top-down economic analysis, while security selection decisions are based on bottom-up fundamental analysis.

Investment advisor representatives seeking exposure to a multi-cap growth strategy can invest client assets in the Growth Equity portfolio. IARs seeking a more balanced approach can invest client assets in the Growth & Income portfolio. The same portfolio managers have managed the Growth Equity strategy since 1994 and the Growth & Income strategy since 2004. They have a combined 96 years of investment management experience.

The Growth Equity Strategy is available on the Adhesion, Folio Institutional®, and SMArtX platforms.

Target Return Portfolios

Investment professionals can take advantage of our suite of Target Return portfolios. These asset allocation models consist of exchange-traded funds actively selected and managed based on desired return and risk characteristics. The models are diversified across asset classes, indices, and managers.

Compared to target date funds that allocate to asset classes based on some future date, the Target Return approach seeks to identify the rate of return required to meet future obligations and allocates to asset classes most likely to meet this expectation. This strategy allows a personal approach to designing plans for individual clients that target date funds do not. The Target Return strategies are available on the Folio Institutional® and SMArtX platforms.
